Vice with folding function: for vehicles with limited space

Craftsmen and service technicians now have the opportunity to expand their Sortimo van racking with a vice with a folding function. Smaller jobs can be done on site on the vehicle. For the SR5 in-vehicle equipment, the vice can also be planned online using the mySortimo configuration in-vehicle equipment configurator.

A prototype of the folding vice was already in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle ID at the IAA 2018. BUZZ to see. With the foldable vice, Sortimo has now launched a practical extension for the SR5 and Globelyst4 invehicle equipment, which enables customers to carry out smaller work directly on the vehicle. Workpieces can bequickly fixed with the vice so that they can be safely processed on site at the customer or on the construction site.

Due to its slim design and low weight, the vice is a smart alternative to the foldable workbench, as, thanks to its compact dimensions, it hardly takes up any space in the vehicle when folded. This means that tradespeople and service technicians can also clamp workpieces when there is little free space in the rear area. The vice can be mounted on both the right and left side of the shelf. Three different installation positions allow optimal adaptation to the conditions in the vehicle.

The foldable vice was integrated into the vehicle equipment configurator mySortimo configuration and can therefore also be planned online for the SR5.
