The goal of this partnership is to optimally support emergency personnel in the field - with clear structure, ergonomic working conditions and a reliable technical infrastructure, even under the most challenging conditions.

the Vision Van - a pioneering concept for equipping light commercial vehicles - at the IAA 
Transportation 2024 in Hall 13, Stand C34. The aim is to set new standards in the integration

and flexible mobility solutions from a single source. The vision goes far beyond the product. 
The entire value stream is to be synchronised so that all industry solutions can be handed

IAA Transportation 2024 sets the stage for a strategic cooperation between the German market leader for van-racking systems, Sortimo, and the leading Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles, BYD. Both companies are pooling their expertise and presenting solutions for light commercial vehicles at the BYD stand at the IAA Transportation that are specially tailored to the requirements of the CEP sector (courier, express and parcel services) and trade businesses.

With the growing use of electric vehicles, vehicles are becoming increasingly compact, while batteries take up valuable space in the loading area. Urban areas also demand smaller, more manoeuvrable vehicles. Sortimo is responding to these challenges by further developing the Jumbo Unit and the SR5 Reduced to Max racking system, which make optimal use of the available storage space. Both products are characterised by their lightweight construction, which not only increases the payload but also helps to save energy. These efficient loading space solutions offer maximum efficiency even when space is limited and can be experienced live at the Sortimo stand, Hall 13, C34, at the IAA Transportation.
