Trade fair premiere with Sortimo - Zukunft Handwerk starts in Munich

Sortimo, the leading supplier of mobile transport solutions, will be taking part in the "Zukunft Handwerk" trade fair, which will be held for the first time at the International Congress Center Munich from March 8 to 10, 2023. The cross-industry networking event for the trades will focus on topics such as digitalization, sustainability and e-mobility, on which Sortimo will provide exciting insights both at the trade fair stand and as part of a keynote speech on the topic of "Electromobility in the trades".

The skilled trades face major challenges when it comes to their own operational mobility. In the future, vans, light commercial vehicles and passenger cars will have to be even lower in emissions and more compatible with city traffic in order to meet the high demands. The switch to e-mobility is often more difficult than expected - this is exactly where Sortimo wants to support its customers in the best possible way. In an initial pilot project together with Mercedes-Benz Vans, interested craft businesses were given the opportunity to test a battery-electric powered eVito panel van equipped with an SR5 racking system for two weeks, experiencing the benefits of a powerful e-vehicle paired with in-vehicle equipment that enables maximum productivity in everyday work.
"We are very excited to participate in the "Zukunft Handwerk" trade show. The new format not only showcases innovations in the trades, but also conveys enthusiasm for these industries. Both are a perfect fit for Sortimo and our products, which are tailored to the needs and wishes of craftsmen," emphasizes Thomas Unger Head of Global Marketing & Sales at Sortimo.
Visitors to the trade fair will receive the latest information on current product solutions from the experts at the Sortimo stand. "Our goal is to help craft businesses do their work easier and faster so that they have more time for what's important - their customers and their projects," Thomas Unger continues.

Sortimo with exciting keynote in the trade fair program
As a special trade fair highlight, Sortimo will be giving a presentation on the topic of "Electric mobility in the trade - Proven everyday suitability with the factory solution from Mercedes Benz Vans and Sortimo" as part of the trade fair program. The joint pilot project, which was launched last summer, aimed to bring electromobility and the skilled trades closer together.  In the process, craft businesses were given the opportunity to test battery-electric eVito vans equipped with an SR5 racking system at particularly favorable conditions - with great success, as the extension of the project, for a further 4 months until March 2023 showed. In her keynote speech, Alexandra Mögele, Global Marketing Manager at Sortimo and responsible for the successful project, will focus in particular on the advantages of electric mobility for craft businesses paired with highly efficient in-vehicle equipment systems and show how e-vehicles can be integrated into business mobility both economically and sustainably.
